Slumdog Millionaire Review

Well Slumdog Millionaire is made it big , real big . But many people say “what is so different about Slumdog Millionaire” Well things which worked for slumdog Millionaire are

1.KBC Element : Kaun Banega Crorepati Indian show with same format as “Who wants to be a millionaire” This Show itself was big hit in India. Housewives used to wrap up dinner before KBC, husbands were coming home early to watch KBC (and prepare themselves for it). Kids were allowed 1 hr of extra TV for raising the bar of their general knowledge. It was KBC all over because everybody wants to become one and this was the easiest way

2.Love Element: Everybody loves to see love around them. The moment a love angle is involved people start to relate to the movie. They go in this flashback times of their first crush, first date, those happy days of schools or college just run like a movie in front of your eyes.

3.Tragic Twists Element: Poor Jamal has no father, Losses his Mother in riots, his brother betrays him with his soul mate. Love he found in latika which at every turn in movie looks like not meant for him. You always have the suspense “Will he get her ? “ or whenever the love birds are together in movie for more than 1 min , you know something is going to happen . In fact I was expecting that maybe after Jai ho song they both will be killed by may be Anil Kapoor

4.Sympathy element: all while long in the movie brothers were shown standing in face of worst things that could have happened to anybody. But how they survived out if it brings a smile to your face.

5.Flashback Narration style seems to work most of the time .Adds the suspense you see…

So it’s basically perfect blend of all these things with music of AR Rehman. The music is blended with movie so well that if you hear the tracks you will not be able to tell which sequence in movie used this track .

After thoughts on the movie .

Many people wonder "how come all the questions asked were related to Jamal's life ?"

this is a movie depiction and they are basically trying to show that life teaches you many things and things taught by life are never forgotten by one. Because life teaches you a hard way . what we learn from books can be forgotten but not what life has taught you because here you are the subject not somebody else

person living in slums has learnt from life the best because each day in his life , he has to survive , fight and defeat death
